Membership Application

Thank you for your interest in applying to become a member of the Malaysian Psychiatric Association (MPA).

Who Is Eligible to Become an MPA Member?

1. Ordinary Membership / Life Ordinary Membership

Open to all registered psychiatrists who:

• Are citizens of Malaysia; and
• Are actively engaged in full-time psychiatric practice in Malaysia.

2. Associate Membership / Life Associate Membership

Open to:

• Registered medical practitioners
• Allied health professionals
• Paramedical workers

with an interest in psychiatry and mental health.

3. Membership Proposal Requirement

Applicants must be proposed by an active existing member of the Malaysian Psychiatric Association (MPA).

Membership Approval Process

All membership applications are subject to review and approval by the MPA Committee during the monthly committee meeting.

How Do I Apply?

Step 1

Register an account via the Sign-Up page.

Step 2

A confirmation email will be sent upon successful submission of your application.

Step 3

The MPA Board will review and discuss your application during the monthly committee meeting.

Step 4

A confirmation email will be sent once your membership application has been approved.

Step 5

Complete the membership payment via the website.

Membership Fees

Important Notes

• Membership fees are subject to revision by the Association during the Biennial General Meeting.
• For annual memberships, reminder emails will be sent:
  • 1 month before expiry
  • 7 days before expiry

We Are Going Digital

For members who previously applied manually, please email our Secretariat with the following information:

• Details of your previous membership application
  (e.g. application date, proof of membership approval, etc.)
• Your contact details (including phone number)

Our Secretariat will assist you in creating your online account to access members-exclusive content.
