Support for Family & Caregivers of Individuals with Mental Illness

Having a family member with mental illness can be very stressful and often leaves caregivers at a loss on how to deal with their loved ones who are sick. It is important for caregivers to understand the nature of the illness, learn how to cope with changed behaviours and communicate with the sick person. MMHA Caregiver Support Service would like to assist you in your caregiving journey.

This programme is aimed at helping caregivers understand mental illness and for caregivers to learn from one another�s experience.

Caregiver Support

If you need to reach out to talk to someone about your loved one�s recovery, you may contact MMHA. You may be able to talk to other caregivers near to you if you wish. MMHA also provides other services as follows: 1. Day Psychosocial Rehabilitation service for people recovering from mental illness. 2. Illness Management and Recovery (IMR) Programme is a goal directed approach to assist person with mental illness in their recovery. 3. Residential facility (for females only) for those staying far to participate in the Rehab Programme. A reasonable fee is charged for this. 4.
